Confirm car hire in the reservation book from hour one
Bota's own case for Guatemala Rent a Car says the agent, tied to Karve, confirmed bookings from the first hour and handled 81 percent of sales conversations with no team.
Done with
What they did
Guatemala Rent a Car already had a website chatbot that answered questions but stopped when the guest wanted to book. Bota was wired into Karve, the live reservation system. It quotes real availability and rates, confirms in Karve, recognises a returning customer by phone number, and hands a person the pre-filled dates and category when a human is needed. Guest chat is the main channel; web is also on. Ivan Maldonado, the general manager, is quoted on the page.
How it went
Bota's own case (updated 25 Sep 2026) reports 81 percent of sales conversations handled with no team, nearly one in three quotes ending in a confirmed booking, one in three conversations arriving outside office hours, and automatic confirms from the first hour the Karve hookup was on.
Worth knowing
Vendor dashboard figures. The page is explicit that a generic chatbot that only chats is not this job. The booking has to land in the fleet book.
For a Pattaya car or bike rental desk
A Jomtien car desk that still re-types chat quotes into the book can copy quote-from-Karve-or-sheet, then a person on one-way and damaged-car fights. Do not confirm a class you do not have.
Set it up
- Connect the agent to the live reservation system, not a copy of yesterday's fleet.
- Quote only cars that are free for those dates.
- Confirm into that system from the conversation.
- Recognise a returning guest by phone if the book already has them.
- Hand odd one-way and damage threads to a person with the history.
